The Palacongressi 2017 calendar gets under way to the sound of opera

In keeping with tradition, the Palacongressi di Rimini will inaugurate 2017 with the New Year's Opera on the established dates from 1-3 January in the venue's Amphitheatre.

The Barber of Seville takes to the stage, an opera in two acts scored by Gioachino Rossini from the libretto by Cesare Sterbini based on the French play of the same name, by Beaumarchais. The Rimini production is directed by Paolo Panizza, with the Arcangelo Corelli Orchestra and the city's Amintore Galli Opera Choir prepared by Maestro Matteo Salvenimi, and Musical Director, Massimo Taddia.

Sunday January 1 at 5.30pm and Tuesday January 3 at 8.30pm.
